Raised in Newington, CT, Dr. Brockenberry has always been a person who was passionate about working with her hands as well as helping others in large ways. With this as her base, it became the catalyst for Dr. Brockenberry to pursue the world of dentistry. To date, Dr. Brockenberry holds a BS in Biological Sciences from the State University of NY at Albany, studied abroad in Valencia, Spain where she lived with a local family and learned about Spanish culture, cinema, history, and language, and later returned to Newington to attend the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington. From there, Dr. Brockenberry completed a General Practice Residency in Long Island, NY at SUNY Stony Brook Hospital.
During this academic tenure, Dr. Brockenberry also found her passion for community relations. Over the next 11+ years working in the New Haven area, Dr. Brockenberry’s instilled devotion towards advancing community health centers, and migrant farm clinics, and passion for seeing others smile with confidence have not gone unnoticed. Measurably, Dr. Brockenberry was appointed to the Medical Assistance Program Oversight Committee in 2017 by the speaker of The House of State Representatives, Matt Ritter, and has become respected community-wide for making the fundamental processes of oral health enhancement as positive as they are productive.
Overall, Dr. Brockenberry loves what she does and is passionate about helping every walk of life look and feel their best. However, when she is not working, you can often find her swimming and running in the summer, decorating her home for the holidays, and above all, spending time with her husband and two amazing daughters.
